Welcome to The Five Star Childcare and Preschool of the Performing Arts
The Five Star School is an amazing place for children to grow, learn, imagine, dream, believe, create, and inspire. Our Mission is to provide a platform to explore the world of education and artistic expression through the eyes of children, and their communities. The Five Star School levels arts and education on an even playing field. We encourage each of our students to develop their love of learning and performing in an inviting environment that encourages curiosity, fun, self-confidence, and personal growth.
TWINKLE STARS
6 WEEKS - 12 MONTHS OLD
Infants need relationship-based responsive care, and engaging environments to foster brain development. Our Five Star Twinkle Stars are infants 6 weeks to 12 months who are provided with opportunities to explore a safe area with teachers who respond to each child’s emotional and intellectual needs.
Our caregivers are equipped to nurture the infants in care. Our instructors recognize key windows of opportunity for growth and development. The Five Star School strives to create a responsive environment that addresses the needs, interests, and growing abilities of young children.
TWILIGHT TODDLERS
13 - 17 MONTHS OLD
Learning is a developmental process that occurs naturally and progressively within stimulating and nurturing surroundings. Fostering independence and language development in this preliminary stage is essential to your toddler’s developmental growth. Our Five Star Twilight Toddler room is dedicated to children 12-18 months.
In most cases children at this age have developmentally aged-out of the infant room, however, may not be ready to interact with older one-year-olds. In this room, we focus on strengthening independence, balance, self-help skills, social skills and cognitive development. Children begin to learn sensory experiences, learn songs, and create art. They are given the opportunity to deepen their expression for the arts through repeated exposure.
DAZZLERS
18 - 23 MONTHS OLD
The Five Star Dazzlers are rapidly approaching their second year! At this stage, our teachers nurture the blossoming language skills and growing independence of our toddlers by offering play-related challenges, repetition, and routine.
Our 2-year-old program is designed to capture the joy and excitement that comes with turning two. These toddlers delight in sensory experiences, music, science experiments, story time, block building, and dramatic play. They are intentionally provided with real tools, giving them the opportunity to collaborate as a group while still mastering their independence.
SHINING STARS
2 - 4 YEARS OLD
Our 5 Star Shining Star preschoolers are ready to reach new heights as they form deeper bonds with their peers and expand their understanding of the world through various experiences. Our program emphasizes the development of social skills, critical thinking abilities, and pre-academic skills.
In our thoughtfully designed, print and literacy-rich environment, children’s passion for reading, writing, and learning is ignited and combined with the arts. Our individualized approach to literacy fosters language, literacy, and writing skills through experiences tailored specifically for each child.
STAR ELITES
5 - 12 YEAR OLDS
Our 5 thru 8 year old Star Elites are embarking on an exciting journey through their elementary years! At this stage, our teachers enhance critical thinking and collaboration skills through engaging, project-based challenges and structured activities. Our program for children ages 5 to 8 fosters a love for learning and curiosity about the world. These young explorers thrive on interactive science experiments, creative arts, group storytelling, and hands-on math activities. By providing real-world tools and resources, we empower them to work together, solve problems, and build a foundation of independence and confidence.
Our 9 thru 12 year old Elites are ready to shine as they navigate their pre-teen years with enthusiasm and determination! In this dynamic stage, our teachers emphasize leadership, advanced problem-solving, and teamwork skills through immersive, age-appropriate projects and activities. Our program for children ages 9 to 12 inspires critical thinking and a passion for discovery. These innovative minds engage in complex science experiments, advanced art projects, collaborative writing workshops, and technology-based learning. By equipping them with the tools and guidance needed to succeed, we foster an environment where they can lead, innovate, and grow into confident, independent thinkers.
